Ignition module/pick up coil???

All of a sudden my car died tonight as I was coming home. It would crank and crank and crank but not fire. Fuel pump would cycle but no fire. Checked the plugs, no fire. No power at coil, bypassed MSD, then had power to coil. (I must have a seperate problem with my MSD harness) Anyways, once I had power to the coil it still would NOT start, just crank forever! I had power at the red AND the white wires at the 2-wire plug in for the ignition module. Is that normal. I thought the red one should be hot, but I wasn't sure about the white one. Question... should I replace the ignition module and see what it does? After that replace the pickup coil? If neither of those fix it what are my options? I'm at a loss here Is there something simple I'm missing here? Is there something I'm missing here??

I would check the module 1st. you can have autozone test it 1st to make sure that it is bad. If you need to buy a new one make sure they test that one too.

I'm at a loss for words cause it sounds almost identical to what happend to my car, and you know where my car is right now.

if the module is tested bad, buy a module from orielly's. the borg warner brand. the wells brand stuff from autozone is crap. id' replace the pickup coil if it is the original. better to not have to worry about and it's a cheap part.

The module tested out fine..... repeatedly. I checked again and I have no spark coming from the coil. Get this though..... the coil has power to it on the red wire, but once I hook the connector up to the coil there is power on both wires at the coil... white and red! WTF? I don't get it, something isn't right. I have my MSD stuff unhooked now, so its wired just like factory with the acception of the Accel coil. I swapped coils out too and it does the same thing. Power on red, and power on red and white when plugged into the coil. Is there something else in the system I'm missing? Where does that red/white wire harness come from? Straight from the ECM or what? Gees I'm at a real loss right now. PLEASE HELP! Thanks guys
