Help: 165-to-730 VATS question...
Howdy all, I'm planning on doing this swap so I can 6 my MAF plumbing but have a big question.
Am I going to be able to start my car after the swap without the VATS ignition hardware? I don't want to get it all in, only to find out the ECM isn't getting a required signal from the VATS input. I know I can disable it in the prom but I'm not into that yet as I just blew all my money on this swap. Is there any way I can physically disable this with a resistor or something in the interim?
Thanks...:hail:

Sure, you can do the "ol resistor trick" but the problem is, you'll need to install a PassKey module to interpret the resistor and send the signal to the ECM. Your only other option is to have the VATS disabled in the PROM.

I can make you a chip with the VATS disabled, you'll just need to either remove your stock prom from the memcal or get a Moates Adaptor.
