what is a PROM???? you guys keep talkin bout it... but i cant seem to quite catch on to what it is?? some one please explain

PROM = programmable read only memory
Its the "chip" that tells your car how mcuh timing and where and how much fuel and when , basically the brain
go to the diy-prom board and do a search or too and check out the intro to prom burning article located in the stickies at the top of the board for more info
