? on my new injectors

I received my new injecotrs yesterday and the new ones are shorter than my old ones.. Please tell me theses will work.. here is a pic.. solid black=old injecotrs
yellow and black =new accel 19# injectors

They're a different design. Should be fine if you got the correct part number.

I had the same question when I installed 28lb injectors from an LS1. The difference in lenght on my old injectors to new injectors was almost 3/8 on an inch. I installed my injectors as deeply into the base as I could while leaving enough up in the fuel rail for a proper seal. My concern was that the fuel pattern from the injector would not be directly injected into the intake port but rather strike the base at the tip of the injector and cause erratic fuel supply. Not to worry though, it all worked out fine. I had to remove my plenum after that for something else and while it was off I did however grind down the mounting area on the base so my fuel rail would sit lower, thus holding the injectors tightly in place and be seated as deep as possible into the base.

Cool.. From what I can tell, they would be the same because the old ones have a deep bowl(the bottome metal part) that it sprays through and the new ones don't but the pintle is pretty much in the exact same place.. i.e the injector is the same length were they spray from.. Thanks...
