42lb SVO fuel injectors needed?
I have a 406 with a miniram and currently am running 36lb SVO injectors. I just finished rebuilding the motor and am installing it now and was wondering about the amount of fuel that will be needed.
The motor is 406, 11.5:1 AFR 210 heads, miniram, solid roller cam 248/248 @ 0.050" with .615/.615 lift on a 110 lsa. TPIS estimated HP at 530-560 at the crank.
Car has a 700r4 with 3200 stall, 4.11 gears, hooker super comps into 4" Mufflex, DFI, etc.
When I did the calculation for the injectors i got
560 HP * .55 (efficiency number from Accel) = 308 / 8 cylinders
= 38.5 / .85 (for duty cycle) = 45.29lb/hr injectors
HOWEVER, Ford rates their injectors at 39.5psi and I am running at 47-48.
This means that a 36lb SVO injector at 48 psi is really putting out 42 lbs. right?
Do I have this right? I know the only real way is to put it on a dyno but I am hoping someone here knows a little more about this than I do.
Thanks guys

This article from Holley explains it pretty well.

That article is cool...I would say keep your current injectors and consider raising the FP a bit if you need to. No sense in buying a set of larger injectors...unless you really want to...
There are people who run FP at 50-60 psi to help deliver more flow and there is usually little downside to doing this...maybe a rougher idle (until you tune it properly)...

36# is ample I think, I have almost the exact set up as yours and use 24# with no problems. But I only have 500HP
