What would cause a TPI not to go into Open Loop at start up??
Starts and will not Idle. No codes and everything has been check and is ok. Any ideas???

 

How are you determining the ECM mode? It almost has to start in Open Loop mode, since there are cold and hot closed loop timers in the programming.

 

On cold start up, the car will start and start to idle at 750 rpm's then fall off and stall. Unless I give it the gas and start moving it will stall. After driving for about five minute and temp start increasing everything is find. That is unstill I let the car cool down again. TPS,IAC,CTS and other sensors are good. Also no vacum leaks. Fuel presure is 38 psi with key turned on and 40/45 running on on my gage. Fuel filterr and Fuel Injectors Ok. Running out of ideas and the same for my mechanic. Again no SES codes show or stored. Thanks
