I can kinda understand posting in tpi because you have a roller cam moter, but still why not post in the carb section and try to get some responses first. Also WHICH comp cam are you comparing an lt1 cam too? IMO you should not bother putting a cam in your motor. I think you should just build a flat tappat 350 and swap engines. Realize that a 264HR xtreme energy cam is going to run you around $250 plus you'll need good valve springs to run a cam with that much lift wich is going to run at least $50, plus you may have to machine your heads for larger diameter springs. If your engine has quite a few miles on it, its a good excuse, although it would be some more work i'll bet you'll get more hp with a new 350 and a cheap cam then spending $300+ for a cam for your 305. And while your at it i would get away from the computer controled carb.
If you want to just take it easy i'd lust throw in a lt1 or a L98 cam and call it good, but the 264hr would be a considerably better cam. I've got a '88 L98 cam the biggest year camk, if you want it for a small price.
