Alright, I'm a long time reader but this will be my first post, so bare with me!

Lately I've been getting a Code 44 out of my 88 305 GTA (which is comepletely stock). The code isn't always on it just comes when it feels, but when it does come the car runs extremly bad (sometimes even stalls when I'm sitting at a stop light)! I know that code 44 means lean exhaust but I haven't had the time to diagnose this problem. Along with the code 44 I've been smelling gas, not all the time, but mainly when i'm sitting at idle. I was hoping SOMEONE could help me out! I installed a brand new MAF recently which is not aftermarket so it couldn't be that. If anyone has any suggestions please help!
