No I think he put some kind of powerder coat on it to give it that black rough look. I'm sure he will comment on it though.

nice plenums..... can they be made to look as as-cast aluminum(rough look)? just like the manifold, that would be cool. i rather like the cast aluminum look rather than the customised look myself.

ALL PLENUMS are solid welded construction from up to 3/8" thick hardened aluminum, not cheap folded sheet aluminum like some others intakes, with no leaks, they come powder coated to totally stop corosion, the silver one just was sprayed with chrome paint, any of them can appear "as cast" after 5 minutes with a sand blaster if you prefere no protective powder coating for that as cast look but the powder coating helps keep it looking nice longer!
