What's going on here....

I managed to pick up a 1991 Camaro Z28 with 5.7L 350 TPI speed density engine off an older lady i stumbled across.

So I am the 2nd owner the car just hit 80k miles...

well the differential was leaking so i took it too my mechanic that I trust and have known for a long time..

well anyways when he was working on it he noticed that the car had an Auburn Posi rear end...

Was this an option in 1991 or did she get convinced that she need rear end work and someone installed a posi...

another question is if the auburn isn't stock are they any good.

I have added a bunch of mods but the most extensive being Full chrome Tubular headers from edelbrock and new intake system and high flow cats...

custom chip/ Kuhmo spectra 712 tires
air foil for the intake and conial K&N filter right on the throttle body

Welocome to thirdgen.org!

All the 3rdgen posi's I know of, are all "cone" type, could be someone replaced it for her...might just want to give her a call back and ask.

Good find, BTW...make sure you clean under the seats for the grocery receipts
