i considered throwing it on the stock 113k mile L98 in my 91 formy....but I'd heard thru a friend that it made a mutual friends stock motor run /slower/ than before (200k mile GTA 91-92 GTA l98/a4)....something bout it killing the torque i think.

<shrug>

If it does, I'll wait on it I think.

cool comparison on modified engines. stealth ram benefits greatly over aftermarket tpi-type systems.

Where is the cheapest place to get one? I might go with the HSR for my 383....How much would I be looking to spend? and it does re-use the old sensors, etc from the TPI intake, correct??

Summit and ThunderRacing are the two most popular distributors. I spent around $600 for everything, but there are many, many ways to set it up and consequently the price varies. Yes, it reuses the stock IAT sensor, but there is some fabrication involved in setting up the system. (Vacuum, fuel lines, etc) Do a search, all of this has been discussed a million times.

You saw Summit's price for the WHOLE bolt on MPFI setup from holley. Similar ot Edelbrock's Pro-Flow.

Thunder Racing has it for around 450-500 depending on which FPR you want.

I 'believe' 7540 is the part number through holley. You should be able to derive the Holley p/n from Thunder's site.
