Installing MSD into an 86 TPI setup

Got a question that I am having some confusion about.

I have an 86 TPI setup and I have an MSD 6AL but I am having problems figuring out what to do to install the MSD.

The GM Distributor has a 4 terminal connector on it, which connects direct to the computer. So how are you supposed to wire in the MSD? I don't quite get what you have to give up and what you have to have in the computer connection. The directions on the MSD deal are slightly confusing and don't really address this. Either that or I am a complete moron and can't read simple instruction

Anyways, if someone could explain it in layman's terms, that would be greatly appreciated!!!

Also, should I anticipate any problem with RPM readings on my Tach? I have an autometer Tach that I added in.

Thanks in advance and sorry about this post possibly being repetitive.

Most MSD applications are put on with an external coil.

Should say in the instructions how to wire one for a Coil In Cap. It would work with the 3 wires that connect to the cap tip. Those control the coil and that is what the MSD does.
