wells su145 is rubbish!

i bought the su145 maf and already it has split open around the housing where the air duct tubes clamp on i took my spare bosch one and realised that it is much better quality the way it has been made much thicker and stronger plastic has been used maybe thats why it is twice as expensive to purchase not knocking the electronics side of things but the way it has been put together is poor hopefully they will be able to back there lifetime warranty on the product

Send it back and get a new one.

I haven't had a problem with mine.

Works great.

Sorry about your luck.

It might have been that extra turn on the clamp that did it in.

maybe it was but funny enough it is splitting open where the maf connector goes into aswell if you compare the way bosch made there maf and how wells has made theirs you will see a difference in quality also it was a pain trying to mount the sensor as there is no thread for the bracket to screw into

No problems using the stock clamp on the Wells. Just a direct drop in installation.

Also the Wells uses a Flim instead of the Hot Wire which is more durable. Also flows about 700 cfm.

Can be Purchased at:

I believe that Auto Zone carries the brand well's also. It should be the same one as the one that you're getting off the net and I think that Auto Zone had it for $145. Can someone double check this?

The wells wasn't threaded for the pontiac bracket to screw into. Big deal. Turn the screwdriver a little harder. It sounds like yours just has some sort of manufacturing flaw... which is why they come with a warranty. Most of us have had good luck with our Wells units.
