89GTA 305 Cold Air induction
I have done a search and have found nothing quite like what i want to do.. but someone must have thought of it
I have 89 305TPI GTA
I want to get some cold air induction rigged up. I am thinking that I could remove my fog lights, put nice screens in, run duct up to the plat in front of the rad.. put 2 square filters in there as I have seen. and then a box into the MAF, into the intake..
Anyone do this? What does it involve.. anyone have pictures..
Or maybe it won't work.. in which case ..why?
Thanks

People do it on the Camaros all the time, would be cool to see it done like that on a 'bird.
I wouldn't do that.
Cut a whole under and behind the fog light on the left side and run 3 or 4" ducting up into the fender and into the airbox.
You'll need to reposition the airbox and fuel canister as well. For 4" like mine, you'll need to cut some metal at the fender opening.
I got a galvanized 4" base for the bottom as well which is bolted on the rubber down there. It also came with a screen installed too.

this 3" & 4" ducting.. what stuff works best?
I was thinking that if i removed the fog lights.. which are old and cruddy anyway.. and run 2 lines.. say 3" in our large empty nose, and then do the camaro thing.. it would free up some space under the hood.
I just thought someone would have done this, or tried and would tell me why it won't work
