will aftermarket runners make any difference?
will aftermarket runners make any difference?
How good are the SLP runners? Is it worth it on a 305 with the only mod being headers? Any experiece with them on a 305? I have done the search and can't seem to come up with any good information that would push me to buy them. All I can find is people saying that the 305 already flows enough air. I am looking for some more HP and am on a budget like alot of people.
no, they are not worth it. You must understand that TPI was made for the 305, and that the air flow for a stock one will be just fine. If you had more mods, like heads, cam... etc... then yes they would been needed. You will have better gains if you got a higher stall tc or if you swapped out a new rear end if you dont have a nice set of gears right away. You could put that money twards a cat back and cat, or suspension mods. good luck with the car man.

I agree... Spend the money on a catback if don't already have a good one. If you plan on doing heads and cam then you will need the intake. Don't do the TC until after the heads, cam, and intake are done because your power curve will likely shift.
