No knock sencor!

No knock sencor!
i have an older block, if it wasnt originally equiped witha knock sencor, how do i go about my tpi swap. how do i install the knock sencor.? how bad does it affect performance not having one. thanx.

You must have a knock sensor. This can be installed in the drain plug on the passenger side of the block.

Use the coolant hole like stated above, If it is not the same tread size you will have to use like a brass adapter. I am going to have do the same thing with the 406.
I put TPI on an older block.
I thought the sensors were carefully calibrated at the factory for specific block castings, and don't work well when used on blocks they were not designed for, so I did not use one.
Had to modify the EPROM to disable it in the ECU.

just get one for a 350. just don't use a 305 knock sensor they much more sensative. you should be ok.
