hole in the throttle body

hole in the throttle body

what is this small hole right above the blade for?? it looks like it connects to the air passage for the EGR solenoid.

im not real sure but that looks like the passage for the idle air control i cant remember what it was for?

i thought the air for the IAC went in thru the big hole on the bottom between the 2 plates. that is where the valve is.

anyone know for sure about that hole??
