Should I get a custom grind? (Cam)

The engine is being put together this week so now I just need to know if I should stick with the cam I chose (LT4 hot cam) or go with a custom grind, or a more suitable off the shelf grind.

Here's the setup

Lingenfelter Super ram (58mm TB, ported/gasket matched base, 30lb injectors)
AFR 195 Heads 2.02/1.6, VERY worked over
355 - All forged internals (zza4 crank, pink rods, TRW pistons)
Custom PROM
2600 Stall converter
1.6 RR's
1 5/8 hedman headers and full exhaust

Here is my goal...

* 16mpg city / 20mpg highway (minimum)
* 345 RWHP
* prefer a slightly warmed over stock sound
* Secondary, looking for a 100k mile engine

If I can get the first two with the LT4 hot cam, I'll be happy. This will be a daily driver.

Any suggestions appreciated.

PS I have already put a cam request into cam motion, but have yet to receive response on what they think the best way to go is.

The cam manufactures have a pretty good selection of grinds already, unless you're really hardcore and trying to squeeze the last few hp/tq out of your setup, I'd go with what's available and use the extra bucks saved towards something else.

Forget about the "sound"...although a 425+hp 350 will probably have some...if you ask for something with a noticable lope, then you might just be over camming the engine with no positive effects, only negative.

Thanks for responding mike.

With the sound factor, what I meant to say is I would like to sound as stock as possible. I want this for a couple of reasons:

1. You get that sleeper element
2. The smog ****'s in California here something like that they want CARB numbers, that I will be unable to produce for the LT4 hot cam, but if it sounds normal the idea is that I sohuld be able to get it by.

As far as cam motion here is what they gave me, however this was before I let them know I needed one for daily driven mileage, so they are working on that now.

Duration (intake/exaust) 236/240
Lift (intake/exaust) .571/.574
Lobe Center Separation 110
Intake Centerline 106
Comments LASH .010 HOT

As you can see this is WAY hotter than the LT4 hot cam. Any suggestions on a off the shelf? or any duration / lift numbers I should be looking for?

James
