Who has milled the Stealth Ram base to lower the plenum for more hood clearance? How much did you take off? What other issues arose? Thanks in advance.

I would guess that it would be cheaper and much easier to buy one of Grumpyvette's shorter plenums, but others have milled around 1/8" off the base, so it's definately possible.

the most you can mill without running into problems is about 3/8" even milling that much will cause several minor problems with some clearance issues

we looked at that option quite extensively, trust me the custom PLENUM IS A STEAL AT THE PRICE, it took 9 prototypes to get everything correct, theres 11 changes in the design and theres TESTED reasons for all of them

I figured about 3/8" being the max. What did it hit? The t-stat housing? I assume you have to drill the bolt holes deeper too. Did you helicoil them afterward? Do you have pics of the custom plenum somewhere? I would consider another plenum except I just spent 4 hours polishing mine.
