Engine Block Swap, Will it work, and be good???
I have a 89 IROC, with the 350, but its still to slow for me.. I have a friend with a 79 Chevy truck, that he just rebuilt the engine in it....Its the stock block, but bored to 355, forged pistons and a comp cam, I don't know the cam specs though....but hes running about 300 HP with that, ****ty heads, and carb. I want to take that block, and put a set of ported and polished 93 chevy truck heads on it with my TPI system. What I want to know is will the TPI Bolt up to those heads, and do you that setup will give me some ponies????? I think the heads are 193s, Ported and polished, 3 angle valve job, and roller tipped rockers, with the new block, and TPI....do you think thats good...anyones 2 cents will be apprecitated!!!! Thanks
need to change the flywheel or flexplate. The dipstick will be on the driverside should bolt right up. Make sure you get the right tooth count when ordering the flexplate or fly wheel. Are you sure you wanna give up the rollerblock? oh and you will have to block off the mechanical fuel pump hole.

A guy told me that the block would fit in my car. Really what I want to know is what changes will I have to make to get it to work. And if anyone thinks that that would be a good engine?
