TPI suffering from a couple of problems

Hey fellas.

Well, heres whats been going on. I took the roc on her first long trip this last week and noticed a few things. Before leaving the car had been pinging for sometime under hard acceleration. So I put in 5 gallons 100 octane and the rest 91. SHe ran like a champ and got damn good mileage. Using about half a tank to get me 175-190 miles. Anyways, the car sat for a week. time to bring her home. I notice the gas mileage is crappy. Shes using alot more than she did on the trip up. The car hesitates when it is warm outside. Engine temp was steady at around 200, but the car bogs off the line, then regains itself.
also i have noticed a slightly lower idle rpm as well as lower than normal oil pressure. Are these signs of something worse to come? What happened to my car? Any help would be appreciated guys

May be a good time to do a compression test on the rings and valves. However, the ping and sh***ty running may only be the timing has changed due to worn timing chain.

The motor has 50K on it since a rebuild at approx 75K orig miles. I do not know what was done during the rebuild. All I know is a week or so after I got the car I took her to the track. In bone stock form, she netted me a 14.3. I doubt I will run this good again even with the minor bolt ons I have added. The car feels sluggish at times, not always, but sometimes. I don't know what gives. I would like to mod some more, but I am afraid of what could happen. Do you think I could benefit from an AFPR to compensate for this hesitation? As for timing I have not checked it. What is a good setting??/ Thanks guys

Before my Iroc died(long story but im bringing her back to life) it did the same thing, sluggish at times, bogging, backfires etc etc...this lead me to believe that it might be the timming was jumping around. I also found out that the IAC valve might also cause this to happen too if it gets grimed up really bad.

Unfortunatly I didnt get to find out what is was as my car just died on me(not related btw) but during the Rebuild I pulled apart my Intake and Cleaned the IAC while the car was down. Man was it Nasty!!!

Anyway thats something else you could check too....and its easier than the timming chain for sure
