i just got my new maf, all relays, ignition module, plugs, wires, o2, new ducting, cap, rotor, and it still idles like crap. TPS is set at .54 and also iac is new. Do you guys think its a timming problem.

 

There's a link inhere somewhere on how to adjust the throttle blades manually, before the electrical settings; or something like that. It made a big difference in my idle quality. Youn unplug the IAC first, then......... It's here somewhere, I used it last year!

 

1. unplug IAC
2. adjust throttle plates with the screw on the drivers side of the throttle body (I adjust mine to 500 rpms or the lowest I can so the engine still runs) you may have to take out the plug on the screw
3. plug IAC back in
4. readjust TPS to .54 or whatever its supposed to be (I forget right now)

I just did this on my car after changing to a 5 speed, it idled so crappy after the change, when I unplugged the IAC rpms went to 1500!, goes to show how much power autos take to turn, I just did the idle adjustment a month before the change.
