Fuel setup for a 383
Ok guys, building a 383. Got an 89 Trans am, Stick. The 383 is a 350 1995 block so I'm running a Hydraulic Roller cam. The Heads are ported Dart's and I'll be running a cam with a .506 lift. A little under 10/1 compression. I got big SLP headers and TPIS big mouth base, large tube runners then i got stumped on what to get for a couple of things. I was going to get a 52mm throttle body and 27lb. fuel injectors and turn the fuel pressure regulater to 50 psi like i have my old 305 set at now. I have that stuff ordered but I can change the order before they ship it. Then i got advice from a buddy that talked to his brother that lives in Cali. and builds insane TPI motors. He said to get a 58mm throttle body and 36lb. fuel injectors with a inline 48 psi fuel pump. He also said to upgrade all my fuel lines to bigger fuel lines. Then my friend told me that that guy is used to running cams with .600 of lift and 14/1 comperession. So my question is, should I go with my plan or you think the throttle body is to small and that I'll run to low of fuel pressure and run out of gas at a high rpm like 5,000? I know you guys know your stuff so any advice will be apreciated.

I will not need to get larger fuel lines. If you're only going with larger runners and base then 52mm TB should be fine. I wouldn't get any larger than 30# injectors and those still may be too big.

If you have not already changed the pump, I'd go with a 255lph in tank pump. I run 30lb SVO injectors on my 383 & it gets enough fuel.
