wierd start problem

alright here goes nothing. i have an 89 firebird formula 350. a recent problem of mine is i get into the car and it wont start. this is tottaly random. there seems to be no pattern of weather or when its hot or cold, it could be in the morning or after driving 20 minutes. it cranks has fuel starts and first then dies imediately every time after it just cranks, sometimes if i come back ten minutes later it will start. the fuel pump primes , car starts when it wants to and can run at wot fine no hesitation no bogging no spark issues. i have new plugs cap rotor fuel filter, basically its fully tuned. please this is a major issue any ideas??? i need the beast running reliable again!

hey...it sounds like you may not be getting enough air in your motor to keep her running. the easiest place to start is at the throttle body. check to see if it is all gummed up...also you may need to clean/ replace your idle air control valve that screws into the throttle body...it may be faulty not letting the throttle butterflies open up enough at a start. hope this helps.
