Quick IAC question

About 3 years ago, I had my IAC replaced. It was full of carbon and compressed. I was wondering how often they need to be removed from the TB and cleaned? Also, what do you use to clean them?

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

not a bad Idea to look at them every year and clean them with spray electronics cleaner. Im pretty sure any F.I throttle body cleaner would work as well but you cant be too careful.

while youre at it spray some into the passages as well.
