zz4... plus what
ok it probably wont happen this winter because of my lack of funds... but in case i win the lottery, or just for the sake of my own knowledge and future use... this summer i plan to do a zz4 cam swap along with my header install. what else will i absolutly need, i figure common things will be springs, i want to go with 1.6RR (will they fit under stock valve covers?) and then i am not sure what. would i need a custom prom? also would i notice more of a gain if i also went with some of the SLP runners? thanks as always for the great info and help guys

The ZZ4 cam works well in modified TPI engines. Anything you can do to open up the runners/plenum will help the cam do its job better. Also, since you'll need new springs, go ahead and have SCREW in studs put in the heads and have the spring pockets machined for the higher lift springs. Then a basic clean/pocket port on the heads will work wonders even for a stock motor. A custom prom is always good to make the most of any mod....but the car will run without it. MAF cars arent as sensitive to cam changes as a SD car is.....good luck

The 86 was his first Camaro. He now has an 1989 IROC. By the way I will be installing the ZZ4 cam and flat top piston in my 1989 GTA soon. Have the Brodix street heads on it now and lots of goodies. Allen
