Car: 89 Pontiac GTA Trans Am
Engine: T.P.I. 383 Stroker
Transmission: Monster 700R4
383 stroker oil pan clearance
i have a 383 stroker stock 89 block , will my stock oil pan baffle clear the stroke?

Engine: 355 HSR
Transmission: Pro-Built 700r4 w/ 3400 converter
Axle/Gears: 10 bolt w/ 3.42 gears
From everyone I have talked to, NO. Buddy said he got his stock pan to work though by beating the bottom down some w/ a hammer. You could try and see if it clears. But once you get the pan on, rotate the internals and see if you can hear/feel it hit.

Axle/Gears: Moser 9"/4.11 Trac-Lok
No problem with the oil pan, however the windage tray had to be spaced out to clear the Scat crank. The big end of the rod to the cam lobe is the biggest concern though.

Hey guys. I know this is a old post, but I have a question about the oil pan clearance. Where exactly is the problem with the clearance going to be? At the bottom of the pan? If so is beating it gently with a hammer going to help that problem?
