what in the world is this??



i never noticed this in my bird, i only had her for about 3 weeks now, i was looking around my engine today since i got my egr valve replaced and was still getting a code 32, would this be the problem why im still getting this code??
i now i hate the previous owner

I'd say so. Plug up that hose and see if the code doesn't go away. Check the EGR too and make sure the hose is hooked up. Check for any uncovered nipples around the plenum and throttle body too.

where would the other end of that hose go? i dont know about how my motor works, i'll look tomorrow and see if i can find where that end goes.

That I don't think I could tell you. I haven't touched a V6 in years. Just look around and see if you can't find anything that's missing a hose.

yeh ima have to do that , thanks alot


any v6ers out there got any ideas? if i cant seem to find it i'll take more pics tomorrow and post em up.. i want to do this myself, i laughed when i went to the mechanic to install the egr valve, its like replacing a windshield wiper ...

You might not find very many v6ers here, seeing as how its the TPI board... You could try the V6 board to see if they have any ideas...

i found where the other end of that hose goes, sometimes i hate going to mechanics who dont know much bout thirdgen's , i had explained him that there was a hose with a screw driver in it and he said nah thats nothing, i showed him and goes oh yeh thats not suppose to be like that, he connected it now, i disconnected my bat and no more codes, lets see if itll stay that way, im posting a pic of where it goes in a little bit
