i know thet stealth ram is not emissions legal but that's okay. i was looking at thunder racing and it seems that it would only be about $600 for the set up non polished. what else would i need to make it work on my gta?

 

Actually it will come to 498$ for the manifold and fuel rail w/ the AFPR, I just ordered it! You get 20$ off just for ordering it online. Can't beat that!

 

if you have TPI already then you shouldn't need anything else to get it to work, besides standard gaskets if they didn't come with it, it will use all the sensors, throttle body, etc you already have

 

Actually, it takes a bit more than just the gaskets.

You need a TBI thermostat housing, different radiator hose, assorted hose nipples, new upper radiator hose, different fuel lines, etc.

The fuel lines, depending on how you do it, will be the most expensive. I did Aeroquip socketless hose and I think it set me back about 75 bucks. The other stuff is mostly incidental. Unless you have a 85 or 86, then you have to switch distributors.

Check out http://www.stealthram.com , they may have the info you need. Might also check out http://www.chevytalk.com and do a search for stealth ram. There was a very detailed list of needs there at one time. Actually it's probably here too, but I don't surf here much, so I don't know for sure.

As for the price, it must have gone up a bit after it was first released, as I paid 475 for mine and it came with the adjustable regulator.

No, the external coil HEI distributor that came factory on your car will work perfectly.
