IAC connector problem
My clip is broke on the harness that holds the male connector on the IAC. How would I go about replacing this? Can I just cut and splice? If I can, where can I buy the new connector? (It's broke on the plug, not the IAC itself/does that make sense?).
Thanks-
Jonathan

If you have a new connector all you would have to do is get a pin extractor tool and push the pins out of the old connector and then insert them in the new one. GM sometimes has them and pepboys has had them on occasion. I have occassionally found them in junkyards.

I buy all my Weatherpack and other GM production connectors at NAPA. They have every one ever devised. I would replace the plastic piece and just re-insert the pins into the new body. This prevents you from having to make several splices that could cause problems down the road. It will also be cheaper to just buy the body, rather than a whole plug meant to splice in. As suggested, you will need the correct tool to remove the pins from the body though. It's pretty straightforward.
