Exhaust leak from EGR Bloak-off Plate?
I made my own EGR block-off plate and i might not have done the best job at sealing it. Its been about 5 months since it did it and now i have an exhaust leak i believe. Im trying to determine if its an exhaust leak or a lifter tapping. But its hard to locate. Its reallll noticeable when the car is first cracnked and running but from 130* on up it gets more quiet. When it hits about 180-200* you cant hear it unless under hard acceleration. (thats why i think exhaust leak). Back to my question though is it possible to have an exhaust leak from your EGR block-off plate?

yes that could be it.
could also be your manifolds.
could be alot of things.
just start the car when it is most noticeable and stick your head in there and find it.
shouldent be hard.
