Is a Knock Sensor only for an L98 block?
I was reading TPI swappers guide over the weekend, and I was wondering if you need a certain block to use the knock sensor. My dads ZZ4 was swapped by someone else, and I remember seeing some sensor on the passenger side that had no wiring going to it.

The knock sensor plugs the coolant drain plug so it will work on any SBC but you need to get specific sensor depending on weather you have a 350 or 305.

knock sensor
Is there a way to bypass this sensor? Keep getting 43 code. Have it narrowed down to the sensor or module. Tried to switch the sensor and can't get it out. If there isn't any way to bypass, any hints?

cbmotorsports,
A code 43 is "Low voltage at electronic spark timing circuit" I would recommend checking all the connections before ditching your knock sensor; it could very well save your engine from disaster.
If still you want to bypass it put a 3.9k resistor between the sensor plug and ground if you are running a 730 (MAP) ECM. If you have a 165 (MAF) ECM you will need to use a 100k resistor. Or you can disable it in the PROM if you can burn chips.
