Plenum Port
Just wanted to say thanks for all the plenum porting info. I never really thought that porting my plenum would really make that much of a difference if very little or at all. Last night i got a wild hair and decided ill try alittle something and i did. I knocked down and radiused the EGR walls behind the throttle body. I did it with a dremel and a wal-mart cone shaped dremel bit. (That sucked, any info on where to buy a cheap bit or 2.) Anyways the next morning when i took my car out for a little test drive i actually noticed a difference in the 3000-5000rpm range. Im not saying i got 5-10 hp or anything. But it was enough of a difference that i noticed it. The thing that made me happy was when i used to hit 4500rpm i was out of power. Now it pulled ALot better from 4500-5000rpm then i lose power. Im now addicted and want to do the rest of the work availible. I also want to do the IAT reloc. But do i need any special wire to extend it or can i just use any AWG d/c wire? Thanks for the info!

Now you can do the runners and then the intake manifold to free it up even more.
There are lots of posts and photos on how to do it on this Forum'
The Intake Air Temp relocation kit comes with the extension harness.

You don't really need a kit. I spliced in a scrap of 18AWG wire in the correct color to maintain the factory correct color code. About 18 in. is enough.

I would get a die grinder. It will save gobs of time over a dremel.
Also - later on if you decide to port the base, you'll already won the die grinder (absolutely necessary)
