question about removing emissions stuff

im putting slp headers on my 305 tpi and when i do that i would like to clean up the engine compartment. can i remove the air tubes , smog pump (not even hooked up), charcoal canister and all the stuff related with it. will the car still run fine with that stuff off or will the computer go crazy. also do you think i can pass emissions with the stuff off. i have a gutted cat right now but i'll put a new one on for the emissions test. i dont care about power gains i just want to get rid of some of the clutter under there and it would make it easier to work on the car later. thanks for any input.

I removed my air tubes and havent had any issues dont know about the charcoal canister or passing emissions though i am emissions exempt. I was told the the only purpose of the air tubes is to feed warm air to the motor to speed up warmup but my car warms up just the same.

The air tubes supply air to the cat to aid in burnoff.
I've removed everything and haven't had any problems with the car. I don't live in an emissions required county though so I don't know if it'll pass. Obviously it'll fail a visual. With a car that's properly tuned people have passed a sniffer.

I removed all my emissions equipment since it isn't needed where I live. It really makes an LG4 look like a 60's motor (without the performance of course)haha. After removing the pump/hoses/canister i didnt realize any difference in the way the car ran.
