416's - Last dumb question...

Car: 1986 Pontiac Trans Am

Engine: 5.0 TPI

Transmission: 700R4

416's - Last dumb question...

....as long as the last 3 #'s off the casting number is 416, they're the right heads to rebuild/modify for my setup, right? Someone has a set, willing to let go for $75 for the pair off an 86 Trans Am, but it was a CARBURETED motor....so I just wanted to make sure I'm not buying the wrong heads...thanks.

Should be no problem. Most engines labeled as H.O. had the 416 heads. $75 sounds a little high unless they have some work or new parts. Most I see go for $20 -$25 a pair.

$20-25? Really? Thanks for the heads up....its appreciated. These have no new parts or anything....i will see if he can come down w/the price...or no deal...
