Gaskets on the TB...what to use?

Im in the process of putting together my TB.....on the gaskets for the top plate, IAC? under the IAC, and the main TB gasket,

DO I use anything on them like high tack...or something?

I cant work on the car cause it like 19 degrees outside in the garage so I might as well put my TB together..in the nice warm house.

Nothing is needed, just use proper torque.

Yeah I would skip the gaskets. From what I understand (never worked on a throttlebody) gaskets are optional.

When I rebuilt mine...there were gaskets...so I put some back on. I went to the dealer and got the gaskets. Then used a small amount of black RTV to seal...just to be sure.

Thats me too - I would go get new gaskets. People have told me tho that they aren't necessary. Who knows? To me it seems like there should be a gasket to seal everything, lol.

I didn't mean to imply "not to use gaskets"...

I meant "no need for sealer/RTV".

Yes, you need to use gaskets.
