Make sure everything is hooked back up correctly(vacuum lines electrical connections etc)
#2
Are u sure everything is installed into the correct orientation?(ie u dudnt swap runners side to side?) I've seen it done...
#3
Did u make sure the intake end seals are actually sealed? did u use silicone or the little rubber inserts that come with ther intake gasket?
#4
Install the distributor to tdc #1 cyl and correct firing order and the timing set correctly?
all i can think off the top of my head right now

The porting could not be the reason for your problem. You did not put it back together properly. I dont know what it is, but you will find it eventually.
Do what the above posts suggest. You have alot to check.

P.S. This is the experience I had when I ported my stock intake. Somehow the IAC got damaged and the car would'nt start.

Ok well if ya want to get technical, then yes mine did start. It would stay going for a few seconds, surge up in the rpm, and then shut off. In order to keep it going I would have to hold the throttle as soon as it started. Check your IAC.

When I did my SLP runners and ported the intake to match, I had to start the car ten times or so before it would stay running when it was all back together. It just took that long to work all of the air out of the fuel lines... even after *priming* the system by turning the key on, off, on, off several times to pump up the lines with the fuel pump.
Can you keep it running with the throttle or not?
