Modified GTA hood?

Has anybody here attempted to modify a GTA hood to make the front louvers a functional CAI?

Waste of time. The area is too small to be effective.

You would end up feeding cool air to the top of the radiator or something. It won't work.

It would help some, but then it'd be ugly too.

What you need to do is cut the back side of the hood inner frame where it moves up towards the hood. This leaves you about a 1"-1.5" high slot to get air from. Thats about how big you could make the inlet to fit over the top of the radiator. Then you need a filter, and with this sort of a setup... I wouldnt even think about running without one unless it was track only. After all that, its still a rather small area to get air from. Really a better way is to do a cold air intake like the SLP setup.
