What mods are ok with a Hypertech chip?

I've got a ThermoMaster chip, to be used with a 160 degree thermostat. Number 128 922. What can I do with my engine if this chip is installed in my computer? I know it changes spark timing, etc, so it can allow for a higher lift cam and what not but, I want to know how far I can go. I have a ZZ4 cam, Hot Cam springs and some other stuff. Nothing too crazy, I just want to make sure I'm not going to be messing anything up by installing these parts. If this is a constantly asked question please feel free to cyber-b!@#$ slap me and direct me to the proper tech article. Any help appreciated!

Unfortunatly Hypertech(aka Hypercrap) chips dont do much at all. It will undo your speed limiter, and thats about it. They said it does alot more, but from expierence it doesnt. In fact lots of guys here claim that it make the car slower. I think the zz4 cam is about the limit that you can run without messing with a custom chip. Guys that acually run that cam should correct me on that last statement.

i heard they werent all that they are cracked up to be, so i bought a used one for real cheap just to see for myself. there is a guy on ebay that custom programs chips for your exact application. his username is "tpichips" does anyone have experience with him? i know theres a lot of words going around about programming your own chips and what not but im in the military. im quite busy working long hours and im still trying to learn how to control my temper with @ssholes so i dont have time or patience to learn a new pc program and screw around with delicate computer parts. know what i mean? not to mention i am this close (put your index finger about a 1/16 of an inch away from your thumb) to throwing this TPI ish in the trash and bolting on an edelbrock air gap and a Street Demon.

I'm running the Hypertech Chip.
Stock Cam and Heads, etc.

I think you should "Just go Carb"...especially if that's what you know. You will realie power gains faster, and easier, than trying to make the TPI work.

all this computer non sense seems to be linked to everything. if i want to do an engine swap but go carb instead of TPI it seems like ill need to do just as much modifying as switching from carb to TPI. im going to go back in time, find the guy that invented fuel injection and stab him in the eyes.
