Please at least tell me where to go, Will a lt1 cam fit a TPI?

Hey guys,
I know every one seem to think this is an over discused topic but i cant actually find a clear answer to my question anywhere. I just want to know if the Lt4 Hot cam with the 1.6 rockers will work on my car, and i think that comes with a new timing chain too is that interchangeable. Please feel free to answer my question or at least direct me where to go to do so.

Thanks a lot , sorry for the repitition,
Raptere

sry forgot to add the specs:
(Plan to have for set up...)
2400 torque converter
3.73 rear gear
headers and performance exhaust system
possibly jegs, but definitly high flow aftermarcket heads
New lifters if neccisary
new rods
26x11.5x15 quick time drag tires
performance intake later on

Any other suggestions please post.

Thanks again

Yes the cam will fit: Your car is a '91 which already has a hydraulic roller: The only thing you need to do is hammer in the dowel pin on the front of the cam..This pin is longer than normal to drive the optispark on a Fourth gen. Other than that, it is entirely compatible....The timing chain that comes with it, however, has a gear on the back side that is used to drive the water pump on a fourth gen...I would get something like a Cloyes Hex-A-Just roller set, or any other double roller chain and get rid of the one that the cam comes with.---Dusty

I didn't realize you could drive the pin in farther. I thought you had to cut it off. Glad to learn a new trick!!!!
