few question about LT1 cam and my car

Would putting the LT1 cam in my car move the power band up father than what it as with peanut cam since the car came with the peanut cam and not the LT1? and if so why?

I dont know if its the car or just me cause I havent driven the car in so long but it feel like I have lost low end...could it also be that since I have put the LT1 cam in and still running my 2.73 gears...they do not like eachother? and if so why?

Would getting a stall and new rear gears such as 3.42's make my car feel like it used to and give me my lowend back?

It may just be me but maybe you guys know more about it..

thanks!

I would assume that with your 2.73 rear end and the lt1 cam it would move the power band up and your rear end would make it seem even worse. I am actually in the middle of doing this swap but I am putting in an lt1 rear with 3.42 ratio. I bet that thing would haul *** in the upper rpms on the highway though!!

you basically got the same setup as me......I can tell I got more power but it feels like it moved up...when I would normally have ran in 4th or even 3rd....sometimes I can drop it down a gear to make me feel like I have some power cause if I keep it in the gear when my rpm's are so low and punch it there just isnt any power like I would think. Maybe it is my gears...I hope so...

I can run 70 on the highway and only be doing about 1800 rpms....thats in 4th and when I drop it down to 3rd I feel like I have the power I need..I feel like I can even drop to 2nd but I havent tried that yet..kinda scared to!..LOL

and it didnt used to feel that way when I had the stock crappy cam in...
