Is there a belt for me?

OK. I am doing some performance upgrades on my 89 Formula 350 and i really have two questions.
First, I am porting the plenum and having read the posts, I see that it is suggested to remove the little wall between the runner openings. Has anyone just remove the whole divider? I guess like siamesing the plenum openings. If so did you notice any differences and what kind?
Second, I am removing the AC and the AIR. Who needs them anyway? I have the serpentine belt setup and was wondering if anyone else with this setup has done this? If so, what belt did you use and how did you route it?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
