need some expert advice on my 383 combo

Ok, just bought a 92 B4C. Here's the setup:383 miniram, AFR 190's, hotcam, 1.6 RR's, Edelcrap 1-5/8 headers, 3:23 gears,Pro-built 700r4 with 3500 stall, home burned chip.
I have a Moser 12 bolt with 3:73's and a tko 5 speed in my 89 Iroc that I plan on installing in this car. I also have a set of Hooker Long tubes waiting to be installed.
The car feels O.K. Not nearly as quick as I think it should be. The car has a 150 shot on it so I am thinking maybe some slow timing. I haven't had the time to check anything yet. I'll do that tommorrow night.
My goal is low 12's on motor, 10.90's on spray. Am I crazy to think this combo is capable of this? If not what is the next step? By the way the car has a 58mm TB, and 28lb. ls1 injectors. It also just has one of the little filters right on the TB. Thanks!
Chad

Headers are holding that high revving heavy breathing 383 for sure. Also it needs a little more cam IMO. AT least a 224/230 IMO. That cam w/ a good set of LT headers, and I feel that setup will see 12s on motor EASILY

You can hit your numbers with that combo.

My 383 had a combo very close to yours,
383, AFR 190's, MiniRam, Comp XE 230/236 HR but with a 700R4 and Vigilante converter.

First pass the car went 11.81@115. Further tuning got down to 11.71@117. This was with Mickey Thompson Competitor tires and full exhaust including cats.

A friend of mine with a Vette also ran the similar combo but with a LPE 219/219 cam and 6 speed trans. He ran 11.60@118.

We both found that the MiniRam likes ignition timing. Both motors had compression ratios above 11.0-1 and both of us ran 38 degrees total timing.

The pic of my car in the web sight is from the day I ran 11.71.

The car now sports a 406.

Well, you guys have made me feel better about my purchase. I figure once I get my headers on, and devise a better air intake, I'll take it to Ed Wright at Fastchip. Let him do the Dyno tune on the car. I was told the car went 12.06@111 and did 412 RWHP the way it sits. I was very skeptical. Thanks!
