About tightening trottle cable

Seens like my cable is too loose, I've read that its not good to tighten becuase it could break the cable. When i go under my hood and open the throttle its ok, but inside the car when i push on the gas its not the same response as to opening the throttle body under the hood. Anyone have any suggestions?

Well have you looked to make sure that when the go pedal is all the way to the floor the throttle blades are all the way open? If not check it, then if not you can bend the arm of the pedal to take up the slack.
