i have an 85 t/a with a 350 tpi {350 is out of a 60 something van}
I just replaced the egr valve and temp switch, started her up and she ran fine, so i took her around the block and shut her down. The next day when i started her up she just died, but if i step on the gas she won't stall till i let off, tried this bout 10 times, the 11th she started right up but the 12th thru 20th same thing, this is really starting to **** me off. the only codes that are being thrown are the O2 sensor cause i don't have that put in right now, i know that the O2 sensor can't be the problem.
Any ideas on what to check next

 

Are you saying that you have an open hole where the O2 sensor is supposed to be?

 

no the headers that i have in there don't have any hole there for an 02 sensor, i haven't tapped out a hole for the o2 yet....

 

Well...your ECM thinks it's still feeding a 305 engine, it's getting bad/no data from the O2 sensor, and you're mad at the car for not behaving?

but the 02 has been out for bout 10 months and this is the first time it's done this. I also noticed one of my cables i think throttle (the one on top with the black connector, not one of the ones with the pins holding it on) is a little bit bent, and i think i streched it a little gitting it back on. Would that at all cause the car to die at idle???
