Hmm Injector situation...
Ive been having a hard start problem after the car is ran. I pulled the fuel rail up last night and primed the rail, and 4 of my injectors drip (Two bad, one decent, and one bearly drips).
Anyway, should I just send them to Cruzin and have them fixed? Or should I buy bigger injectors?
All I have are bolt ons, is a larger injector going to give me any more power? I would also need a custom chip right?
I don't even know how'd Id get that.

You could send them out to be cleaned, depends on what you want. SLP has 25 lb injectors for $100 ( all 8 ), best deal i've seen around. And yes, you'll have to have your prom reprogrammed to take in account for the larger injectors , or you could put an AFPR on and try to dial it in that way , but it's better to do it right and have the chip reprogrammed. Shoot me an email and i might be able to hook you up with someone to reprogram your chip if you're interested , he helped me out and seems really dependable and knows what he's doing.

Look at SVO's injectors, they are cheap, Jegs and summit has them....
Program a PROM for bigger injectorn can anyone do with a "burner"
Do it yourself and learn how to program youre own PROMS.
Costs
70$ for a burner if you cant find a used one
35-45$ for a adapter ( not necessary but recommended)
6$ for 1 EEPROM and you are set to go.
If you want to scan and tune, another few bucks for a ALDL cable and you need a old laptop for dos software.......
If you do this you open a whole new world of tuning your car.....

injectors do not give you any power
they just spray fuel in. you do not need larger injectors until you have reached the point that you are flowing so much air into the motor that you cannot add enough fuel with thoes injectors.
all they do is spray fuel in. they dont make power.... power is made by shoving as much air as you can in there.

Steve I was haveing the same problem as you.After the cars warmed up it would crank forever then fire up with a little smoke(gas). I was also getting a code 33. I replaced MAF sensor,MAF relay,etc.Then the service soon light would only come on once in a while.Just got thru changeing the injectors and it starts rite up and I've done a couple small holeshots and no codes. I've only put about 10miles on it since I got finished but so far so good.
Whats happening is your injectors are leaking while your car is turned off and then when you go to start it,it takes awhile to overcome the extra gas thats leaked in and then when it does fire up the extra gas is what your seeing comming out your tailpipes.

They do if you have injectors that are too small for your setup and you switch to larger ones
Thanks Bill. I had a pretty good feeling that it was the injectors. I keep saying I'll hold off until I get the 350 as my current 305tpi has almost 200,000km's and I don't want to be stuck with brand new 19's injectors when I decide to do the swap to the larger motor. I dunno though, the 305 runs so damn strong still...I may just end up changing them.
Can anyone recommend a good place to get cheap 19ib injectors? Fiveomotorsports is alright but he was telling me that my 89 305tpi car had 21's from the factory which i've never heard before...hmmm. Decisions decisions. Then there's Accel from Jegs, or the SLP 25#'s for $100...there were some issues with flow rate vs pressure for the slp injectors.
Frankly, I don't know who to believe.

First your 305 would of had 19 not 21lb. injectors from the factory.
305=19lb.
350=22lb.
Good luck with SLP's,I was going to go that route but it seems there on backorder.
I see 19lb. injectors for under $100 on e-bay all the time,Thats were I got my 24lb. ones for $122.50. I Think Mustangs came out with 19lb ones so there plentifull,now 22lb. ones are a little harder to find. Also the higher the pound the injector,The more expensive they are.If I was you I would buy some 19lb. ones and then later when going with a 350 use the 19lb ones with the fuel pressure turned up a little till you can afford bigger ones.

Hey IROC, if you havent bought new injectors yet...check out the 22lb pink FORD injectors on www.fiveomotorsport.com I just installed them about two days ago....cost $188 and you DONT need a new prom to use them...unlike the SLP. Sure the SLP's are only $99, but by the time you buy all the crap to burn a PROM, its more exp than the pinkie injectors I got. They made my car run like a brand new one......and are easy to install.
FWIW, the SLP injectors are on backorder now....and the girl I talked to said she didnt know when they would be in......

Also, the "22lb" injectors on that site...are brand new takeouts from 04 mustangs.....which are rated at 19lb in "their" motor and their pressure ratings. Bruce Holt(owner) said they would drop in without a problem. He also said if I was unhappy I could return them for a set of rebuilt flow-matched injectors.
