distributor question

im getting ready to install a tpi setup on my 350 and was just wondering if i have to use a computer controlled distributor. i have a regular hei distrib right now with a msd6al box hooked onto it....

With TPI, the computer has to be able to control the timing to get the performance out of the engine. Sorry, but you'll need the computer controlled timing distributor (frequently referred to as the "small cap" distributor - the coil gets mounted elsewhere).

not true there are 2 types of distributer for tpi small, and large cap hei. sorry just correcting a inaccuracey
