Who's AFPR

I was rummeging thru some junk at my buddys and came across a fuel rail that had a AFPR on it. He said I could have it. It has a recessd adjusting screw in it that accepts a allen wrench. I took it apart and the rubber in it is fine but the spring is a little rusty,so is the inside of the outter cap.Can I sand out the cap and clean up the spring or should I throw it away and buy a new one. There's no manufactor name on it. Any idea who it's made by?
Thanks for any help you guys can give.

For the most part the only difference of an AFPR is the cap, if you can clean the cap up you can buy a new spring/diaphram etc.

Actually the cap has a hole thru it and the adjuster screws onto the dyaphram assembly and the part that the allen wrench go's into has a O ring around it and it pokes up thru the cap. So I couldn't just reuse the cap on my stock dyaphram assembly without brazeing a nut onto it like the tech artical describes found elseware on this site.

By the way I'm not VeTTnEss I'm just useing his computer.

As far as I know AFPR just stands for adjustable fuel pressure regulator.

You can use the stock diaphram in it, the only thing that makes it adjustable is the screw going through the top. Other than that it is the same as stock.

The hole in the top is about 3/8 and the screw is actually a cap with a allen head recess in it.When you take the top off ,the cap stays attached to the diaphram and it has a O ring on it to prevent gas from leaking out around it when the top is attached.
Most AFPR's have some sort of bolt going thru the top and contacts a disk that rides against the diaphram.
Mine attaches to the diaphram.

Weird, never heard of one that attaches to the diaphram like that or that has that big of a hole in the cap, or even an O ring...there isn't supposed to be any gas above the diaphram, just vacuum.

Nothing stamped on the cap anywhere? A name or part number?

Your rite ,The O ring is probably to seal against vaccume.
There are no numbers or anything on the cap.The cap does have 3 recesses in it which help center it when you bolt it down over the diaphram.
