Where to get fuel injectors?

Just received some bad news from Cruize Performance. They won't clean my injectors because they say mine have the highest failure rate in the industry. They are the original Multec grey/silver fuel injectors. So, anyone know where I can buy some decent replacements? The car is stock so I want to keep them at stock specs and have a limited budget. Any help would be appreciated.

You can buy new injectors at Summit (probably Jegs also).
A new set of Accel injectors cost around $230 and up.

Hope this helps.

well, Ford Racing injectors are widely used on our TPIs, so I would say that those should work.

Check out www.fiveomotorsport.com They have 19lb Mustang GT ford injectors that are a direct replacement for the L98. They flow about 22lbs when used with "our" fuel press. I just installed a set and the car runs like a brand new one. NO TUNING required. They cost me $188.....might look into them. Good luck.

I had my 170,000-mile injectors from my '89 Firebird tested and they all flowed great. Some of the spray patterns were not in the best shape and that was resolved with an ultrasonic cleaning. I've never heard of the multec injectors failing either, certainly mine are a testament to their longevity. Ford injectors will work, and i believe SLP sells LS1 injectors that are pretty cheap also.

Where did you get them flow tested and cleaned? I tried Cruzin Performance but he said he wouldn't touch them because they have the highest failure rate in the industry. I did a simple ohm test on them out of the car and none of the numbers matched each other. Is that a valid test? Does that tell me they're bad? I really hate to just through money at this thing and not have them be the problem.

KYL98, so made a big difference huh? What sorta behaviour was your car exhibiting before you changed them? What model number is the ones you got? I'm going to stop by their place tonight to pick up a set probably. They do have some 22lbs that aren't origional equipment, but do work for the Camaro but he said they were about 3mm shorter so I can't use the retaining clips. But should be okay because the hole that held the injectors in place in the fuel rails are pretty deep.

My car's symptoms were rough idle when warm. The car ran ok till closed loop then ran crappy...idled rough...like a bad misfire. I checked/replaced damn near everything on the car till I checked the injectors resistance and all but TWO were bad. I bought the pink injectors from www.fiveomotorsport.com and the car runs better than new.....The ford injectors(model DB9 $188)will work fine with a stock L98 and will support up to 400hp with a AFPR. Hope this helps...

You say the D9Bs are 19lbs, but according to their web site they are 22lbs. Are you sure those are the ones you got?

They are 19lbs when used in the Ford Mustang GT. They are brand new take-outs from the 04 GT. Ford uses a lower fuel press to obtain 19lbs hr. Trust me....they will work fine. If still in doubt, email Bruce at www.fiveomotorsport.com Good luck.

I just installed my Ford Racing 24# injectors that i got from Summit yesterday. Haven't set the fuel pressure yet, but with it where it is...which i haven't even checked yet...it is running way better than it has since i have had the car.
