Upper Plenum Gaskets
Are these required to be replaced whenever you bust open the upper plenum?
I had to drill and tap a 3/8" into a 7/16" on my thermo housing so I had to unbolt the plenum.
I also noticed that on both types of fuel pressure regulators that Summit sells for my car include the gaskets......
My car has been running on and off since the unbolting. I also noticed that the plenum bolts bottomed out before becomming tight. My bro sez vacum leak.
Too many indications of a flat gasket perhaps ?

I would replace the busted gaskets.
I have taken my plenum setup apart many times and I have always put new gaskets on.
If you do not, the gasket reused may be uneven/torn/etc and will not provide a good seal. This could result in a vacuum leak, which means you will have to take the whole thing apart again to fix it.
I believe your local Autozone (or other parts dealer) sells a kit of just the upper gaskets.
Hope this helps.
